LAWNS & HEDGES
Although a healthy, well maintained lawn is your best protection against weeds, these can still be invasive to your lawn. In addition grubs & insects can do considerable damage to grass roots if left untreated. If you notice dead patches of grass on your lawn, chances are you have an infestation of grubs or insects (such as leatherjackets) which feed on & will destroy your lawn root system.
Perhaps your lawn / grass needs some tender loving care to ensure it's the envy of your neighbours ? I provide weed, moss & nutritional treatments, which will help ensure your lawn is kept in great condition; as well as aeriation, over-seeding & pest control.
If your lawn is already established & you just need some help with regular grass cutting, strimming & re-edging, why not set up a Lawn Care Package today
Lawns / Grass Seeding
If you have an area of land you wish to turn into a lawn, I'm happy to create this for you. All topsoil used is screened.
Below are some pictures of completed lawn & grass projects.
After removal of a cherry tree & old overgrown shrubs, this ground was dug over & lawn seed planted. The picture on the right was taken 1 month after the seed had germinated.
The lawn below was created on top of an area of overgrown wasteland which had been used to burn rubbish. The ground itself was covered in weeds, comfort plants & wild briars. After spraying & clearing the site in the spring, over 20 tonnes of topsoil was levelled over the area & grass seed sown. The picture on the right was taken that summer.
Digger job to bury rubble & level out ground for grass seed.
Hedge Cutting
Below are some picture of completed hedge cutting projects.
Whether you have beech, privet or leylandii hedging, autumn is the best time to cut back unwanted / out of control growth. This ensures your hedges look their best and are in good condition during the summer months. If you don't get the chance at the back end of the year, then a pre-spring trim (prior to the bird nesting season) will ensure fresh grown on new shoots.
